JC, Trump, and Religious Spirits

We have a newly elected president of the United States. Is he a Jehu? Will he live to be sworn in? Remember, Nebuchadnezzar was God’s servant. So was Jehu. Both Assassins. Both were later punished for how they conducted their assignments. Many stories in the Bible make you go, hmm.  One leader sacrificed his sons in the fire (Moloch) and had his own wizard, dabbling in sorcery with demonic spirits, but after fasting and humbling himself, something HAPPENS. God forgives. Adonai is MERCIFUL. Others might not let us live down our mistakes, our unchoice words or actions or lack of, but the Holy One is long-suffering and full of empathy:

Manasseh sacrificed his sons in the fire in the Valley of Hinnom. He practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.

II Chronicles 33:5-6, BSB

Repentance comes during DISTRESS:

And in his distress, Manasseh sought the favor of the LORD his God and earnestly humbled himself before the God of his fathers. And when he prayed to Him, the LORD received his plea and heard his petition; so He brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD is God.

II Chronicles 33:12-13, BSB

In Israel, Netanyahu fires Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and chooses Israel Katz. Have you researched Katz or Itamar Ben-Gvir? You might want to do more homework in this area.

In other news:

“Police uncovered 50 prophets each in two caves yesterday. King Ahab said he had no part in it and does not know how the prophets survived in such conditions. He stated that he was unaware there were any caves on the palace grounds. His wife Jezebel spoke of the horrors she endured after her true prophets were slaughtered by a butcher. The hunt for Elijah is still underway.”

Let’s discuss our King, His Kingdom, and leadership.

We have buildings and leadership in our kingdoms we’ve built:

Men have always loved buildings, titles, and bloodlines. Eli was promised he and his sons, his lineage would be Priest forever, but that did not happen. There are stipulations in Kingdoms. Ask King Saul. Ask King David. Eli and his sons all died. Eli’s flesh and his stiff neck cracked. His sons died clinging to an Ark that did not help or save them. The Holy One sent His prophet to warn Eli ahead of time of what was to come:

“‘I did indeed say that your house

and the house of your father

would walk before Me forever.

But now the LORD declares:

Far be it from Me!

For I will honor those who honor Me,

but those who despise Me will be disdained.”

Eli and his sons die on the same day. They are out of the office; Samuel is in. Today, we have self-appointed, self-anointed, and immature leadership mixed in with good leadership. Do these leaders have a Nathan on their team? An Elder who is able to teach? In our kingdoms, we have those who learn from their mentors, teachers, and pastors. Young Samuel learned from Eli how to listen and hear the Voice of Yahweh. Young Samuel was given a strong rebuke from the Holy One to Eli, and he was obedient to speak it to his mentor. Let that marinate.

Sometimes, we do not question our mentors and leaders or act like the Bereans, who studied to see if Paul, the apostle, was telling them the truth concerning the Messiah.

Recently, I watched a young Torah “sister” tell people Jesus Christ or JC, was the name of Baal, and anyone who called Him that name or still went to Sunday morning church worshipped Baal. She also teaches that women can’t preach the Good News to men or wear makeup, not even modest makeup. Not even covering pimple makeup. Maybe a burqa is needed? (sarcasm) She is gaining many followers. Rehoboam comes to mind…

Are we standing in our so-called righteousness, emitting pride and disdain for a people group we used to be a part of? We can judge holidays we used to keep with great pomp instead of humility. Do we forget where we came from? Our pointing fingers can be more crooked than a country road.

WE HAVE PRIDE IN OUR PRIDE.

We have arrogance in our arrogance. We have religious spirits. The young woman I mentioned knows just enough to be dangerous. I have been there!

I just watched a video of a so-called “JC Baal pastor” baptizing men in prison in a kid’s pool, and they came up weeping and shouting with JOY! I’ll take that any day over a religious spirit.

I’m in an internal battle with myself over which camp is more arrogant about their knowledge or lack thereof, which camp is more arrogant about political powers that be. I’m taking a step back to breathe. No wonder our youth are done with religion today. The ego needs a check engine light. We do not win arguments against others or persuade them to think as we do when we lack humility or are not led by His Spirit.

Are we straining a gnat to swallow a camel? What are your thoughts? Most ministry worth anything happens behind the scenes.  Have we neglected the more important truths, like how to treat others? The poor and needy? Those who are just beginning their journey with HIM. Are we appearing holy on the outside and full of puffed-up knowledge—not holy on the inside?

Linguistic scholar Benner explains the name of our messiah in translation. AKA JC/Jesus.

“Jesus’ original name was Yehoshua (Joshua). When this name was transliterated into Aramaic, it became Yeshua (see Ezra 2:2, which is written in Aramaic). Then, when transliterated into Greek, it became Iesou(s) (see the name “Joshua” in Exodus 17:9 in the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament). When this was transliterated into Latin, it became “Jesus.” Jeff Benner

What is religion? Dr. Skip Moen defines it: “A religion is an invention of men who wish to draw boundaries around acceptable and unacceptable practices and thoughts about God. They sometimes do this with the best intentions in mind, e.g., protecting the “flock” from divergent (false) ideas. But this is not a development of spirituality, though it often poses as such. In the ancient Middle East, before men sought to control who was in and who was out, spiritual connections with the God of Israel were considerably more flexible. What mattered was how you lived, and how you lived had a much wider umbrella than what you thought about any particular theological concept. Now, you can ask yourself, “Am I religious?”

Part 2

The world idolizes wealthy, famous people, such as Hollywood, ESPN, and the music industry. People become starry-eyed over political leaders. There’s not much difference in His House, the “church/ ecclesia.”

It was no different in Jesus/Yeshua’s time. John came as a voice.

John came to a people who spoke his language. He wore no kingly garments, nor did he speak eloquently. He came to announce a King—a King coming to His people who did not accept Him, despised him and picked up stones. Nothing’s changed.

Johns’s voice boomed.

Men with the best seats, the best chariots, and those rubbing elbows with the Big Dogs were present at John’s preaching. Men with the longest robes, the ones who were esteemed over their knowledge and positions, were the very ones John came to call out. So if you were built like John, remember that. Prophets call out leadership. Kings. Authority. Prophets work best with apostles, but men/ women in power don’t usually have them on their team. In my Father’s house, there are many “roles” Ephesians 4. It’s not difficult to include the 5-fold in an assembly; men just choose not to. Men/women who know Hebrew choose not to.

Like America, we have corruption in leadership. Religious terrorist. Nothing’s changed.

Remember, the wolves in sheep’s clothing are likened to the adversary disguised as an angel of light. The wolf in Little Red Riding Hood was disguised as the girl’s grandmother. The wolf acted as if he had Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother’s GENTLE characteristics. The Holy Spirit is always written in female form. She is our “Grand” Mother. In Hebrew, the word that describes the Holy Spirit is a feminine noun, “ruach.” It is Strong’s Hebrew 7307—ruach: breath, wind, spirit. In the fairy tale, the grandmother is devoured and eaten alive. It’s happening today.

Yeshua said:

“Woe to you when all the people speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets the same way.”

Anyone of us can be a false prophet.

We read that many people believed that He was the Messiah, but for fear of being thrown out of their synagogue, their assembly, or their group, they denied Him. We can deny Him while professing we know Him and know more about Him than most.

Those who believed but wanted to remain, groupies, chose men over the King of Glory. Have we ever chosen men in positions of power over Jesus/Yeshua when we should have been calling out their conduct like John did?

Covert cults have leaders who will make you believe that you need them and that without them, some other minister will lead you down the wrong path. Are you craving a leader who will notice you or your knowledge of the Bible, Torah, Mishnah, Talmud, Hebrew, etc.? It’s all vanity.

            Beware.

Beware, Little Red Riding Hood. Don’t mistake Grandmother Ruach’s Holy Spirit for a gangster Holy Ghost. They are not the same.

May our prayer be, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done.”

Let’s be Wise as serpents and Harmless as doves. And let’s listen to others who may dispute what we know, weighing the scales of justice with good eyes and ears ready to hear what the Ruach has to speak through another soul we may deem less than.

Our King emptied himself. The Messiah was not God disguised as a man.  He was a servant obeying His Father unto death.

Do nothing at all through selfishness or self-conceit, but in humility, consider others better than yourselves. Each one should look out not only for his own interests but also for the interests of others.

For, let this mind be in you which was also in Messiah יהושע, who, being in the form of Elohim, did not regard equality with Elohim a matter to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, and came to be in the likeness of men. And having been found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, death even of a stake.
